Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the end of what has been the strangest school year, I wanted to send you all a sincere thank you. The past few months have been the biggest challenge we have ever faced as a school and the support and kind wishes you have offered us have been very much appreciated.
I am sure that you will all join me in thanking the entire staff team for their hard work. Even in such difficult times they have worked so hard to do their very best for our Hill Top children - that is what makes our school so special.
This period of time will have different memories for us all, but we do not want to let this pandemic define us…it's vital that we do not lose the wonderful moments and memories that have happened each and every day throughout the school year.
You will have all received further detail on our plans for full opening of the school after the summer. When we reopen, it is important to remember that some of our children will not have been in school for nearly six months. Many children will be looking forward to returning to school, but many will find being around people difficult, frightening and even overwhelming. We acknowledge that the daily life of a school, with its hustle and bustle, could be difficult for some. With this in mind, we plan to reopen in a phased way from Wednesday 26th August.
If the situation changes these plans may be subject to change. I will contact you towards the end of the summer break to confirm details and remind you all of our approach.
